Keyword research for Turkey is the work of finding what Turkish customers actually type — which is rarely a literal translation of your English keyword list — and ranking those phrases by volume, difficulty and buying intent.
Intent first: four kinds of searches
Someone typing "SEO nedir" (what is SEO) is learning; someone typing "seo ajansı" (SEO agency) is about to buy. Sort every keyword into informational, comparison, purchase or brand intent. Revenue comes mostly from the middle two — but if you ignore informational searches, nobody remembers you at buying time.
The volume trap, with real numbers
From our own research: one popular web-design phrase gets 5,400 monthly searches at difficulty 78, while its neighbour gets 2,900 searches at difficulty 19. Half the volume, a fraction of the fight. Divide volume by difficulty, weight by intent — that ratio, not raw volume, is the whole game.
Turkish long-tail: small numbers, real buyers
Long-tail phrases in Turkish carry unusually clear intent because the language glues qualifiers onto searches ("web sitesi yaptırma fiyatları" — website commissioning prices). Individually tiny, collectively they out-convert head terms in most niches, and competition is thin.
Tools: free tier, then real data
Google Keyword Planner gives broad volume bands free; Search Console shows queries you already rank for. When bands like "1K–10K" stop being enough, you need per-keyword volume, difficulty, CPC and intent for the Turkish market — the keyword module in the EnterX panel returns exactly that; every number in this article came from it.
One keyword, one page
Pointing two pages at the same keyword makes Google grade both at half strength — cannibalization. Map every chosen keyword to exactly one page before writing anything. Run the content check in our SEO audit guide to find existing overlaps.
Summary
Research Turkish phrases natively, judge them by intent and the volume-difficulty ratio, mine the long tail, and marry each keyword to a single page. To have this run continuously for your Turkey operation, see our SEO service.
